Giacomo Fanin
G2 Business Development Manager, Cereal Docks
Giacomo is Business Development Manager at Cereal Docks, a family-owned company, where he has been working since the end of his studies at the University of Padua, Faculty of Political
Science and International Economics. His role involves the development of new business opportunities and the implementation of strategies to position the company as a key player in the
Agribusiness and Food Ingredients industry for years to come. He earned this position after an initial training period during which he gained valuable experience working in various areas,
acquiring a profound understanding of the company's structure. This journey allowed him to discover the area that best suited his skills and interests.
In June 2022, Cereal Docks launched Grey Silo Ventures, the company's VC Arm, with him as promoter of this initiative and acting as Managing Partner. Through this initiative, their objective is
to invest in innovative start-ups or small companies that develop plant-based ingredients and technologies, aiming to further embrace the world of plant-based proteins and move away from
animal-derived products.
As part of the second generation in the family-owned company, his personal purpose is to guide Cereal Docks towards the future, aligning with strategic goals to adapt to the market developments. He strongly believes in the potential of innovation and research to have a positive impact on the Italian industrial fabric, and he actively fosters this belief through his role as Vice President with a focus on innovation in the Young Entrepreneurs group of Federalimentare and as a member of the Next Gen Committee of AIDAF - Italian Family Business.
