Par Martensson

Associate Professor and the Head of Pedagogy and Faculty Development, Stockholm School of Economics

Pär Mårtensson is a tenured Associate Professor at the House of Innovation at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and the Head of Pedagogy and Faculty Development at SSE. He is a member of the International Schools of Business Management and its chair since 2017.


Pär earned his Ph.D. from SSE with a dissertation on Management Processes. He has written or co-edited eight books and published a number of journal articles and book chapters. He is a frequent coach and advisor to business leaders, in particular in family businesses.


With more than 25 years of experience of teaching in various business school programs and executive education, Pär is interested in exploring teaching issues and he frequently runs faculty development workshops at different business schools, like for example HEC Paris, IMD, INSEAD, Kellogg School of Management, London Business School, and SDA Bocconi.


Pär has worked together with Family Business Network (FBN) Sweden for more than 15 years, in a range of executive education programs and together with families supporting their management processes, governance structures, and not the least transformation processes related to succession and the next generation.
