Marike joined COFRA Holding in 2016 and is part of COFRA's management team, with responsibility for leading overall strategic communications and sustainable impact approaches for businesses in the group.

Prior joining COFRA, Marike was SVP, Groups Communications & Investor Relations at Royal Ahold, after six years at Philips, where she worked in Healthcare and later as Global VP, Integrated Communications at Philips Lighting. She began her professional career at Excerpta Medica (later part of Elsevier) as a global director in strategic communications and then in corporate relations.

Marike has a MBA in Philosophy from Vassar College, New York and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. She also holds an Executive MBA from Wharton Business School.
