Bernardo Perez

Bernardo Perez is General Manager of Aglomerados Cotopaxi, a forestry company and manufacturer of wood panels located in Ecuador. Bernardo has more than 20 years of experience in wood panel production companies, where he has developed distribution channels in several markets around the world.
Bernardo was President of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Industries and Production until March 2022, he serves as a member of several Boards of Directors in companies in Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. He was President of the Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters. Bernardo has also represented the private sector in negotiations of Free Trade Agreements between Ecuador and its trading partners. He has extensive experience in international business and foreign trade, so he has advised several companies in internationalization and export processes.
Bernardo has a degree from Babson College, is married, has three children, and lives in Quito, Ecuador.

Since its founding in 1978, the business has been focused on sustainability, as the wood is sourced from their own sustainably managed plantations. The company is part of a group of forestry, industrial and commercial businesses.
