Paula Lucas Setubal is a member of the fourth generation of the ESA Family, main shareholder of the Itaúsa group. She is passionate about teaching and education: she graduated in Pedagogy, earned her postgraduation degree in Psychopedagogy and worked as a schoolteacher for fifteen years.

Paula participates in the family governance since 2006: she was part of the task force that structured the family governance, its committees, the educational program for the next generation, the culture, mission, vision and values of the family. She was member of the Family Council for six yes, three of them as the coordinator, and participates in family committees.

As part of her individual development program, Paula was a listener in the board of directors of some of the invested companies. In 2017, she was nominated for the advisory board of Itaú Social Foundation and decided to focus her development as a board member.

Since May 2020, she is a member of Dexco’s S.A Board of Directors and of the Finance and People, Governance and Nomination Committees.

While deeply involved and committed with the family governance and in her own development as a shareholder and board member, Paula also found a great passion and purpose, as she realized she could enhance her positive impact through the family and the business.
