Chavalit Frederick Tsao is a fourth-generation steward of the IMC Pan Asia Alliance (IMCPAA)
Group. For more than 120 years, IMC Pan Asia Alliance Group has been serving the changing needs of different economies, primarily in the maritime industry. The company has evolved from a small shipping transportation business along the banks of the Huangpu River in Pudong, Shanghai, to a multi-national conglomerate dedicated to supporting the transition of the market economy towards one based on well-being and happiness.
The group consists of Octave Institute, Octave Investments and IMC Industrial, collectively overseeing a business portfolio comprising a range of interests, including global supply and logistics, impactive-driven investments, real estate and well-being and happiness economy. The group is headquartered in Singapore, employing over 9,000 people across 15 countries, with a significant presence in China, Indonesia, and Thailand.
IMC Pan Asia Alliance Group is one of the 12 Core members of Philanthropy Asia Alliance, an initiative by Temasek Trust. Chavalit is also a significant contributor to the Tsao Foundation, a
non-profit based in Singapore that supports various social causes locally. Recently appointed as the Chairman of the Council of Wisdom of the Family Business Network International, Chavalit is committed to reforming business and the market economy with other family business stewards and leaders, supporting the flourishing of Life and restoring Love as the core of business and the market economy.
Chavalit is also the founder of Octave Institute, a new school of life that explores ancient wisdom and modern science and bridges the two to create a new paradigm of life. The institute has also published over 40 books on well-being, East-West culture, health and happiness.
