As Chief Operating Officer of the Contentment Foundation, Navin Amarasuriya works to bring scientifically evidenced practices of wellbeing to schools around the world.

He earned his BSc in Business from the University of Manchester and has Diploma in Animation from Nanyang Polytechnic. He is interested in how contemplative practices shape the heart and mind. This passion began through go-karting and he still enjoys restoring cars.

He is on the board of EtonHouse Community Fund and the Center for Contemplative Research. The former creates pathways for vulnerable children, and the latter supports contemplatives in long-term meditation retreats and research. He is part of the fifth-generation at the B.P. de Silva Group.
