Gonzalo JIMÉNEZ is Professor of Corporate Governance, Strategic Innovation, and Family Business at University Católica (Chile). Previously, he directed the Family Governance Centers and taught Strategy at two top-ranked MBA programs.

Gonzalo is a Founder at PROTEUS, a strategy & governance consulting firm (est. 1995) advising family business groups, in Latin America and around the world. He leads a 10-member multidisciplinary team. He serves as board member at three family business groups.

Gonzalo holds a Doctorate in Governance (University of Liverpool), an MBA from PARISTECH and London Business School, and MSc. in Finance from Universidad de Chile. He became the first Chilean Rockefeller scholar at Harvard University (Luksic Family Scholarship).

He was nominated among the “10 Superstar MBA Professors” by Capital magazine, and he received 16 Best Professor Awards in 30 years of teaching. In 2022 he was selected a top 100 Global Academic Influencer in Family Business by the international magazine, Family Capital.

Gonzalo has co-authored several books on strategy, corporate governance and family business.

As a frequent speaker in international family business, corporate governance and innovation conferences, facilitating highly energizing workshops in the Americas, Europe & Asia, Gonzalo is considered a “global scholar”. He has led 13 greatly acclaimed interventions at FBN Summits (2006-2018).
